The Brief
A baby shower inspired by the original Winnie the Pooh, gentle and nostalgic, with nothing modern or cartoonish about it. The aim was to honour the softness, warmth and muted palette of the classic illustrations in every element.

The Cake
Each of the three tiers uses a different technique, and together they form one cohesive world.

The bottom tier is wrapped in a hand-applied edible print of the original Hundred Acer Wood map. It includes every landmark, from Owl’s House and the Bee Tree to Eeyore’s Gloomy Place, so walking around the cake means walking through Pooh’s world.
The middle tier is sculpted as Pooh’s tree. The bark is textured by hand, with moss spilling over the edges and tiny red berries at the base. Mr. Sanders’ door sits at the front, with plank detailing and its hand-painted sign.
The top tier is finished in soft pale blue and topped with Pooh holding his balloons, painted in the classic Shepard style.

The Cookies
Forty hand-decorated sugar cookies in ten designs were made as party favours for guests. Each was iced in the muted palette of the original books: warm yellows, sage greens, dusty blues, soft browns and creams. Every design was decorated entirely by hand.

The Result
A cake and favour collection that captures the spirit of the classic stories. Every detail was considered, from the map on the bottom tier to the smallest bee on a cookie.
